Thank you for allowing me to serve as your Regional Representative. I am currently a sculpture teacher at Cy-Fair High School in Northwest Houston. TAEA is an excellent resource for us to collaborate and advocate for ourselves, our students, and our programs.

I am always looking for more ways to reach out to art teachers who may not be association members, so that they and their students can take advantage of the many programs offered to promote growth in art education practices, and support for art teachers.

I am also always looking to reach out to art teachers in our region who are not currently members of TAEA. I am committed to supporting our members in Region 4 regarding participation in TAEA programs, such as Youth Art Month (YAM), VASE/TEAM events, and Fall Conference. I am working towards more Professional Development opportunities such as Mini-Conferences, adding regional contests for students, and being supportive in any way I can. Please contact me if you have any great ideas or other input regarding professional development opportunities that have happened or that you might like to see; I’d love to hear from you.
